Open Barbecue Style Tri-Tip |

The Estill family has been in the sheep and cattle ranching industry for over six generations. They are the owner/operators of Soldier Meadows Guest Ranch and Lodge. Tri-Tip has always been a regular on the menu at the cookhouse since the 1820's and now at Soldier Meadows Guest Ranch and Lodge. Barbecue and enjoy. Ingredients: Sprinkle garlic powder over tri-tip and then brush both sides with the mustard. Cook tri-tip over open hickory and coal seven minutes each side twice. Combine steak sauce, horseradish and sugar. Baste tri-tip with sauce. Remove to platter and slice with grain. |
